Our Mission
Every day, Eagle Community Foodbank turns compassion into action. With local support, we provide food and hope to neighbors in need, building a stronger, more caring community—together.
Our Story
When state funding for social workers in the Meridian (now West Ada) School District disappeared in 1997, caring school counselors and resource officers stepped up—ensuring families in need still had food on the table. What began as a small, grassroots effort quickly grew, becoming a fully functioning foodbank by 2002.
We officially became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2012 with a focus on serving neighbors in Eagle and Star.
Over the years, your support has helped us grow—from humble beginnings in schoolrooms and a storage area to our home today inside the Eagle Senior and Community Center in downtown Eagle.
In January 2026, we became a partner of the Idaho Foodbank, joining a statewide network of food pantries working together to fight hunger.
Through every change, one thing has remained constant: with your help, we continue to live out our mission of “Neighbors Helping Neighbors.”

Idaho Foodbank Partnership
Eagle Community Foodbank proudly partners with The Idaho Foodbank, enhancing our outreach. Together, we aim to support more families and provide essential resources to meet increasing needs.
